Chael Sonnen taught Daniel Cormier not to interrupt during their podcast.
Sonnen and Cormier took similar approaches to producing MMA content on social media following their fighting careers. The famous ex-UFC fighters have their own YouTube channels and even work together on an ESPN show. Good guy/bad guy.
Sonnen and Cormier recently released a video of their predictions for 2025 MMA. Sonnen ends the segment by asking Cormier to stop interrupting:
“Well, I’ve been a really good partner and a really good friend this year. Any favors in store? Can I get a favor from you when we go into this break? I want you to do a real. Deep dive, but I want you to go into a word called a break, learn exactly what a break is, and then I want you to promise that you’ll try to come back a little later.”

Sonnen went on to say:
“When my mouth is moving, yours is shut, that’s how it works, the bad guy and the other guy, if you like being the other guy, do a little listening instead of talking.”

Chael Sonnen shows Hulk Hogan’s humility while cornering Colby Covington.
On December 14, 2024, the final UFC event of the year took place in Tampa, Florida. In the main event, Joaquin Buckley boosted his welterweight rivalry with a third-round TKO (doctor stoppage) over Colby Covington.
One of the biggest takeaways from the match was Covington’s walk. The former interim UFC champion went out with Hulk Hogan and Chael Sonnen, which got the attention of the fans.
During a class Good guy/bad guyBefore the show, Sonnen described Hogan’s humility.
“It was great, it was Hulk Hogan… the first thing Colby said to him was, ‘When the camera hit, Hulk, I want you with an American flag… I came up behind you. He went, ‘Colby, I’m a stranger in your house. And he was right from the start. It was his attitude and he was welcome in that locker room.
Colby Covington’s only fight loss was against Joaquin Buckley in 2023. The 36-year-old plans to bounce back in 2025 and could secure his first UFC win since beating Jorge Masvidal by unanimous decision in March 2022.
