Donald Trump says a meeting between himself and Russian President Vladimir Putin is in the works.

The US president-elect did not give a timetable for when the meeting might take place.

“He wants to meet and we’re setting it up,” he said in comments at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Since taking office on January 20, Trump has promised to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine and has expressed doubts about US military and financial support for Kiev.
