Trump retaliated against Colombia by denying the country’s flight
President Donald Trump on Sunday pushed Colombian President Gustavo Petro over the Petro regime’s refusal to allow US interceptor flights to land in his country.
“I was informed that two return flights from the United States with large numbers of illegal criminals were not allowed to land in Colombia. This order by the Socialist President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, is very unpopular with his people,” Trump wrote on social media.
“Petro’s ban on these flights threatens the national security and public safety of the United States, so I have directed my administration to take the following urgent and decisive countermeasures.”
– Emergency 25% tariff on all goods imported into the US. Within a week, the 25% tariff rises to 50%.
– Travel ban and immediate visa revocations on Colombian government officials and all allies and supporters.
– Visa ban on all party members, family members and supporters of the Colombian government.
– Enhanced customs and border protection for all Colombian citizens and cargo for reasons of national security.
– IEEPA Treasury, banking and financial sanctions are to be completely lifted.
These steps are just the beginning. We will not allow the Colombian government to violate its legal obligations regarding the admission and return of criminals who were forcibly brought to the United States!” he wrote.
