The liberal media called Biden’s farewell address ‘a chill down my spine’.
President Biden gave what some liberal media commentators called one of the “best,” “memorable” and “moderate” speeches of his life Wednesday night.
Biden ended his political career lasting more than half a century and delivered his farewell speech to the country from the Oval Office.
“I think this is probably one of the best speeches I’ve ever heard Joe Biden give,” former Obama adviser and CNN commentator David Axelrod said after the president finished.
“Because he gave his speech about the country. Yes, he deserved praise for the progress, but his speech was about the country he believes in, the country he sees, the challenges and threats he sees. And finally, it was a very honest speech that if we are serious about meeting them, we can overcome them,” he added.

Ashley Etienne, former communications director for the vice president, Kamala Harris, agreed with Axelrod, adding how “interesting and useful” she found the speech.
“Going forward, I thought it was really smart and smart and appropriate for the president to sort out the threats,” Etienne said.
Washington Post associate editor Mary Jordan spoke passionately on ABC News, calling the speech “reckless” and “blind.”
“One of the most memorable speeches Joe Biden has ever given is because he wrestled with the narrative,” Jordan said. “And Donald Trump basically ran the whole narrative.”
She added, “Tonight, I thought he was bold, unusually frank.
“I think this is a speech for the history books, Lester,” Meet the Press host Kristen Welker told NBC anchor Steve Holt.
MSNBC host Rachel Maddow focused primarily on the tech “oligarchy” that threatens the country and during parts of Biden’s speech after dismissing the threats of a free press.
“That’s vivid and salacious, and like I said, it sent chills down my spine,” Maddow said. “I think he’s right and I’m glad he took this time to say it.”
Joey Reid agreed that Biden’s comments “should be said” and was equally pleased.
Conservatives were outraged by the speech, calling it “the worst farewell speech in presidential history” as a dark warning to the “super rich”.
“I want to warn the country about some of the things that really concern me. … That is the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few wealthy people. The dangerous consequences of that abuse of power if left unchecked,” Biden said. .

“Today, in America, an oligarchy is gaining enormous amounts of wealth, power, and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy. It’s a fair shot at our basic rights, liberties, and everyone else’s priority,” he continued.
Biden will officially leave the White House on January 20 when President-elect Donald Trump is sworn in as the 47th president. He ends his political career that lasted more than fifty years.
