It’s been almost three years since “Dancing With the Stars” pro Lindsay Arnold announced her exit, and she has no regrets.

In a new interview, the professional dancer, who starred on the dance competition series for 10 seasons, said she decided to leave the show at the height of mega fame and success.

“A lot of my priorities and where I want to spend my time… have changed,” she said People Magazine. “I changed my mind. When you have kids, time goes 10 times faster, and I know that time is precious and something you don’t get back.”

“Well, if we have kids and I don’t come back, will I feel like I’ve fulfilled my promise to do so?” Knowing that, I wanted to have a sense of accomplishment in the event. I felt like at that point, we were honestly past the point of being ready to say, ‘OK, we need this now,’ and I’m glad we waited for that moment. for us.”

Arnold, who shares two daughters, Sage, 4, and June, almost 2, with husband Samuel Cusick, said the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles never appealed to her.

“Honestly, I’ve never liked or embraced Hollywood as a place to live,” she said. “I loved everything about what it offered me, what it did for my career, what I was able to do there, but I was always the kind of person who would hide back in Utah between seasons, to be (who). My family is where I always knew I wanted to raise my family.

“Growing up in Utah, city life was never for me,” she added. “But like I said, I know my life wouldn’t be where it is without that moment, and for that I’m very grateful.”

These days, Arnold continues to garner attention on social media, from her workout classes to her lifestyle vlogs.

“When I decided to leave ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ I didn’t have this grand plan of, ‘Okay, this is my job. This is where we’re going.’ She said when she was a creator.

“Because of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ I had a social media following for people who were just watching and following me. That was scary, because if I was like, ‘Sorry, guys, I’m not doing this anymore,’ they’d hate me. But it was great because every step of the way I was myself.” By being, by sharing what I do, by nature, my work and involvement, my community has been enhanced in a perfect way.

While Arnold says she still misses the show, she doesn’t regret her decision to leave.

“There are a lot of things I miss about the show,” she said. “I miss all my friends on the show, the community, the family, it’s true. The second time my sister came on the show, she’s a family, so they look at her like a little sister.”

“What I don’t miss is the full-time commitment. If you want to be good at your job, if you want to do well, it’s a 24/7 job,” she continued. “And when you’re a mom, that’s a 24/7 job, so that battle is tough.”

“It felt like a very natural progression for me, and I’m grateful for that because, of course, there were times when I chose to leave that first season, thinking, ‘Am I going to regret this?’ “I’m so thankful he didn’t,” she said. “I don’t regret my decision to take a step,” she added.
