Texas Longhorns star quarterback Quinn Ewers declared for the NFL draft on Wednesday.

Ewers posted a video on his social media page thanking the Longhorns coaches and teammates while playing in the burnt orange and white.

“My whole life I’ve dreamed of playing soccer on 40 acres. The past three years have been some of the best years I can imagine. The relationships I’ve built with coaches and teammates will last forever. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to play soccer in my home state at the best university in the world.”

“With prayer and careful consideration, I officially declare for the NFL draft. Thanks. Hook ’em.”

Ewers had 3,472 passing yards and 31 touchdown passes for the Longhorns this season.
