Tennis great Pam Shriver reveals Grand Slam trophies, stolen after car caught in wildfire
Former tennis star Pam Shriver says her Grand Slam trophy and car were stolen after she left her home in the Los Angeles wildfires.
Shriver said. Fox 11 Los Angeles She drove from Brentwood to the Marina del Rey hotel when the Palisades fire broke out two weeks ago. She gives a sad view of how she feels about the city because of the violence.

“It’s hard to feel safe in LA right now with natural disasters, fires, crime,” she said. “I spent the first 38 years in Baltimore. I’ve spent 30 years here since then. I’m wondering what my next community is where I feel safe.”
Shriver told KTLA that she was trying to get back to her “normal routine” when she noticed the Dodge Durango was missing on Friday.
She said the trophies happened to be in the back of the SUV.

“To the people who do this, come on man,” she said. he told the station.. “We need to come together. The way you see people donating, the way you see first responders, how they’re driven by this. Let’s all feel a sense of community and help the people of Altadena and Pacific Palisades. Let’s do the right thing.”

Looting remains a major concern as firefighters work to contain the blaze. Authorities have arrested at least 12 people in connection with the robbery and arson.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom has called for trespassing in fire evacuation zones to become a crime after prosecutors in Southern California called for stiffer penalties, Fox News Digital previously reported.
