On Monday, Donald Trump made history.

He then immediately issued a series of strong executive orders to reform our government and enforce our laws that were overturned by the Biden administration. Republicans in Congress must do our part to support President Trump by sending a permanent line of conservative legislation to his desk.

During the election, President Trump made several key promises to the American people. Fortunately, Congress is ready to make good on these promises right away.

Under President Trump’s leadership, we will secure our southern border, quickly deport illegal aliens, bring criminals to justice, and end the oppression of unelected bureaucrats. We bring opportunity to America’s hardworking families and achieve prosperity for the nation.

Donald Trump is our president and the Democrats have no idea what to do.

To repair the grave damage done by Joe Biden, Congress must pass the SAVE Act. Doing so would prevent illegal, non-citizen voting in federal elections by requiring ID. Congress should also pass the VALID Act, which would prevent the Department of Homeland Security from accepting illegals and using the CBP One app to stop them across the country.

The America First Act — which bans federal benefits to illegal immigrants that the Biden administration has allowed into our country — should also be a priority. And of course, we need to provide resources for more border patrol, Border Patrol and ICE agents, and the repatriation of millions of undocumented aliens.

Perhaps an even bigger task than building walls and fighting cartels will be to finally root out the sleazy federal workers who are used to running the government from deep within.

Trump’s (second) first 100 days gave Democrats opportunities

The REINS Act was designed precisely to rein in unelected bureaucrats and give them back to the people through their elected representatives. Article 1, Section 7 of the US Constitution requires lawmakers to enact legislation that prohibits agencies from pursuing costly and destructive regulations against the American people.

Solving the affordability crisis for American families will require more than ending costly regulations. We need Americans to keep more of their own money and invest it back into businesses and jobs by reauthorizing one of President Trump’s first policy victories, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

We also need to fight hidden taxes that hurt everyone’s wallets – Inflation. That means lawmakers face one of the toughest decisions in Washington politics: Saying “no” when faced with problematic, omnibus spending bills written in secret and without sufficient debate and discussion.

Time is running out. It is an unfortunate reality that our razor-thin majority in the House of Representatives is only confirmed for two years, the second year being a recess period for members to campaign for re-election. This means less time for legislation.

We cannot repeat 2018, when Democrats took the House and undermined our ability to pass President Trump’s legislative agenda in the second half of his term. Republicans must act quickly.

Fortunately, our leadership seems to have a sense of urgency that it didn’t have eight years ago. Senate Majority Leader John Thune, RS.D., insists on a full Monday-Friday work week, and sometimes even weekends. That means they no longer fly home for long weekends, which Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.I.

Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and the House passed the Laken Riley Act, which would have mandated faster federal detention for certain criminal illegal immigrants. The Senate approved the version as soon as President Trump took office. Good start.

More than 77 million Americans are back in the White House after watching Donald Trump deal with lawlessness, political persecution, endless smears of corporate media and liberal politicians, and multiple assassination attempts. If Republicans in Congress want to regain their credibility and share in that misguided mandate, we must immediately work to advance the MAGA agenda.
