Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sued a grand jury witness for $50 million
Sean “Diddy” Combs filed a defamation lawsuit Wednesday in New York federal court against Nexstar Media Inc., (NewsNation), Courtney Burgess and attorney Ariel Mitchell, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
Diddy has accused the defendants of “inciting media frenzy, making outlandish claims and fueling baseless rumours” over the months-long sex tape involving the disgraced music mogul and other celebrities. He is seeking $50 million in damages.
“In this heartbreaking show, all pretense of objectivity is dropped as a global audience is treated to a buffet of wild lies and conspiracy theories to devour.” “In this outrageous situation, the defendants are among the worst criminals. Knowing that this evidence does not exist, they attempt to spread blatant falsehoods at every opportunity to pretend that they have evidence of Mr. Coombs’ wrongdoing.”

“Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is taking a stand against the malicious lies that have been concocted and amplified by individuals seeking to profit at his expense,” Diddy’s attorney, Erica Wolff, told Fox News Digital.
“These defendants, with willful disregard for the truth, have created and disseminated outrageous lies. Their lies have poisoned public opinion and corrupted the jury’s trial. This complaint should serve as a warning to Mr. Coombs that deliberate falsehood undermines Mr. Coombs’ due process rights. Trial will no longer be tolerated.”

Burgess’ attorney, Mitchell, “knew her client’s claims were false, or at least was completely reckless in ignoring their falsity,” according to the docs.
“Since there are no such tapes and Mitchell has never seen any videos of Mr. Combs sexually assaulting anyone, adult or minor, Mitchell’s many perjury claims are the direct result of Burgess knowingly possessing such videos, either outright lies or reckless misrepresentations. Mitchell will investigate her client’s outrageous lies.” An inexcusable failure.
