Indian national cricket team captain Rohit Sharma’s stars seem to be in disarray at the moment, and this does not bode well for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. After returning from the disastrous Australia tour, despite a series of training sessions in Mumbai, his poor form continued even in domestic cricket.

Rohit made his Ranji Trophy comeback after 10 years, but only to make it memorable for Jammu and Kashmir pacer Umar Nazir Mir. The Indian captain is playing for Mumbai in the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy at the MCA Cricket Ground.

After opting to bat first, Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane had high hopes for India’s regular openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit, but both disappointed the team and the fans.

The hitman faced 19 balls for 3 runs before being caught by Paras Dogra at the MCA Cricket Ground to extend his disastrous run with the bat. Following yet another failure of the Indian skipper, the fans are taunting Rohit about his failure to win domestic balls.

The call for retirement was reinforced by the fact that Rohit, his Ranji player who has many fans, could not survive in domestic cricket.
