The ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25 has featured several Indian cricket stars, but only Ravindra Jadeja has managed to make an immediate impact amid questions over his selection for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
On one side, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer failed to deliver for their respective teams. Ravindra Jadeja has made a spectacular comeback to the Ranji Trophy.

The Indian all-rounder is currently representing Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 match against Delhi at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. On the opening day, Ravindra Jadeja wreaked havoc on Delhi’s batting line-up and proved why he is currently the best all-rounder in the world.

The experienced left-arm spinner showed exceptional performance with the ball as Saurashtra bowled out Delhi for just 188 in Round 6 of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25 at the home ground in Rajkot.
Ravindra Jadeja finished with impressive figures of 5/66 in 17.4 overs including 2 wickets including Navdeep Sani, Harsh Taigin, Sanath Sangwan, Yash Zul and Ayush Badoni.

Notably, Jadeja dismissed Harsh Tyagi and Navdeep Saini in the 50th over of the series, meaning the Indian all-rounder will be on the hat for the second time in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25 clash against Rajkot.
With this impressive performance in the ongoing Ranji match against Delhi, the 36-year-old notched up his 35th five-wicket haul in first-class cricket and took his tally to 201 for Saurashtra.
With 201 wickets to his name, Jadeja became the fourth bowler in Saurashtra history to take 200 or more wickets in first-class cricket. This milestone cemented his legacy as one of the best bowlers from Saurashtra and India.

Notably, Jadeja will soon be seen in action for Team India in the three-match ODI series at home against England. He will travel to Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where he is expected to play a pivotal role for the Men in Blue as they aim to win the title after 12 years.
Delhi captain Ayush Badoni shines amid a batting collapse in Rajakot.
Talking about Delhi’s first innings, only skipper Ayush Badoni was able to withstand the Saurashtra attack in Rajkot. Badoni played an impressive 60 runs off 78 balls with five boundaries and two sixes before succumbing to Jadeja in the Ranji clash.
Apart from Ayush Badoni, Yash Zul (44 off 76 balls) and Mayank Jitender Gussain (38* off 45 balls) contributed to Delhi’s 188 on the board while the rest of the line-up was dismissed on the board. Single-digit scores, except for Sanath Sangwan (12) and Jonty Sidhu (16).
Even Rishabh Pant was dismissed for one run by Dharmendrasinh Jadeja in Rajkot. For Saurashtra, Jadeja starred with the ball taking five wickets while Dharmendrasinh Jadeja took three wickets against Delhi.
Yuvrajsinh Dodia and Jaydev Undkat took a wicket each against Delhi in the ongoing Ranji clash in Rajakot on Thursday (January 23).
