Most Americans consider Biden a ‘failed’ or ‘fair’ president: new poll
Less than a week before President Biden’s White House sunset, a new national poll suggests that many Americans don’t think history will be kind to him.
According to a USA Today/Suffolk University poll released Tuesday, 44% of voters nationwide rate Biden as a failed president, while another 27% say they judge him as a fair president.
Of those asked, 21 percent said they see Biden as a good president, while only 5 percent said they see him as a great president.
The president’s single term in office will end next Monday, January 20, when President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated as Biden’s successor.

One in five say Trump, who begins his second term next week, is seen as a great president, 19% say he is good, and 27% say he is judged a fair president.
Trump ended his first term with an approval rating in negative territory, including a 47% approval rating in a Fox News poll four years ago.

However, after his landslide victory over Vice President Kamala Harris in November’s presidential election, comments about Trump’s first term have increased. According to a USA Today/Suffolk poll, 52% of those surveyed said they approved of Trump’s first-term job performance, while 45% gave it the thumbs up.
David Palologos, director of Suffolk University’s Center for Political Research, pointed out that the changes that have occurred in the past four years are particularly significant among independent voters.
“Donald Trump has erased his negative personal popularity among independents in December 2020 and today,” Paleologos said. Among a group that typically swings polls, “Trump dropped from 22 (35% favorable – 57% unfavorable) to 5 (42% favorable – 47% unfavorable).
