Indian national cricket team player Mohammad Shami has sparked speculations about his injury after being left out of India’s XI for the first T20I against England national cricket team.
Mohammed Shami did not play the first T20I against England at Eden Gardens.
Shami, who was included in the Indian squad for the T20I series against England, is expected to make a comeback in the first T20I. The fast bowler last played in the final of the ICC World Cup 2023 in Ahmedabad in November 2023.

“Just yesterday I was talking about the same thing with Shami Bhai because when he was bowling, the way the ball was coming out of his hand was amazing.
“With every delivery, I thought, ‘Wow, what an incredible ball to come out of someone’s hand like that!’ You say. Just wait a few more days, and you’ll see that bowling, and enjoy it a lot. The way the ball leaves his hand, 22-year-old Shami Bhai looks like he is bowling again.
Mohammed Shami is expected to play his role in the series
It remains to be seen whether Shami will return to the Indian team for the second T20I with the England national cricket team. The next game will be played on Saturday (January 25). The hosts are leading the series 1-0 after winning the first game 7-nil.
Shami is expected to participate in the series at some stage. He is part of the Indian squad for the ODI series against England and the team management will want him to be fully fit before then.
