India’s fiery pacer Mohammad Siraj has been dropped from India’s ODI squad for the three-match ODI against England and also the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

As Mohammad Siraj is not part of India’s upcoming squad, the starlet will have to fulfill his domestic duties due to the recent guidelines issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on the fateful Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 campaign in Australia.

Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) mandated that all Indian players participate in domestic cricket unless they are on national duty to remain eligible for Indian team selection and central contracts.

Although Arshdeep has played only 8 ODIs so far, Indian captain Rohit Sharma is confident that the young pacer’s ability to perform at any level of the game will win Siraj’s place in the next eight-nation tournament, which will begin their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20.

“Siraj, if he doesn’t bowl with the new ball, he will be less effective,” Rohit Sharma said.
