Meta this week made a major overhaul of its internal and external policies, including removing tampons from the men’s section, according to a report.

“Facility managers at Meta’s offices in Silicon Valley, Texas, and New York have been ordered to remove tampons from men’s bathrooms, which the company has provided to non-binary and transgender employees who use men’s rooms and may need sanitary pads,” The Times reported.

LGBTQ employees have reportedly rallied through internal resource channels, with at least one announcing his resignation and others seeking new jobs.

Meta’s chief global affairs officer, Joel Kaplan, told Fox News Digital Friday that the move to end its diversity, equity and inclusion programs ensures the company is “building teams with the most talented people.”

“This means evaluating people as individuals and finding people from diverse candidate pools, but never making hiring decisions based on protected characteristics such as race or gender,” he added.

Regarding the timing of the changes to Meta’s reality-checking programs, Kaplan told Fox News Digital that the company has “a real opportunity now.”

“We have a new administration that is far from pushing companies to censor and is (more) a big supporter of free expression,” Kaplan said.

These changes seem to follow trends among other large companies as they move away from DEI and related ideologies in the new Trump era.
