Meghan Markle’s Netflix show delay could help ‘deaf’ name: expert
Meghan Markle’s decision to embrace her new lifestyle in lieu of the California wildfires has won praise from royal watchers despite online hate.
Two days before “Loving Meghan” is set to premiere on Netflix, the Duchess of Sussex has postponed the release of her latest work, citing the ongoing Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire in Southern California.
While keyboard warriors were quick to question Markle’s motives, experts told Fox News Digital that the delay could help improve Markle’s public image.

“It was a mistake to launch her new show,” royal photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital. “I must say that it is the first, that she has given some thought to the date of the release of her series. Usually she releases her work at the most inappropriate time, which causes the public’s anxiety and anger.”
“People were constantly criticizing her for being tone-deaf. She’s hoping people will see her as a caring, helpful and kind person, and that will change their perception of her now.”

“Given the scope and scale of the devastation in California, this time is focused on the people and places that matter most in life,” Doug Eldridge, the brand’s expert, told Fox News Digital.
“People were constantly criticizing her for being tone-deaf. She’s hoping people will see her in a new light as a caring, helpful and kind person, thereby changing their perception of her now.”
“Unfortunately, Markle has the perfect shot at achieving the one thing that has always eluded her: relevancy. She doesn’t need to play a character or rehearse a script; she needs to be real.”

Online trolls weren’t too happy with Markle, though, and took to social media to vent their displeasure.
“Another statement about Meghan in my home state – why postpone this rubbish, what difference will a few weeks make?” One user wrote. “Are other LA actors rescheduling their shows on Netflix? She has the ability to reschedule her show? Why didn’t Oprah reschedule her interview when Prince Philip died in the hospital? She’s not buying this, she’s up to something.”

Another X user said: “Yeah because LA is still hurting in 3 months! It takes years to recover. What a joke.”
One X user wondered, “After the LA wildfires, I’ve developed a nauseous feeling over these #sads. Story, good job Netflix. Can you imagine how that would be?”
Meanwhile, an industry expert says People magazine It was an “easy decision” for Markle. “I don’t think she’s going to be able to put on a show that’s all about happiness and hospitality when so many people in her home state are missing out on hosting people,” the source told the paper. “I think it’s sad that critics are saying she’s doing this just to take the fire out of her show. We’re all human, and we’re going to fall.”
Royal expert Richard Fleeswilliams believed Netflix had “no choice” but to postpone the series.
Flitzwilliams said: “Harry and Meghan have been very active in supporting relief efforts and helping displaced people. “It’s their level of interpersonal skills that really bought into the spirit of the first responders,” said Pasadena’s mayor.

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich echoed Fletze-Williams’ comments in a comment to Fox News Digital, saying: “To go with the original launch date was completely inappropriate and tone-deaf. There really was no other option. How are they located at the scene of the accident? Although accepted, the issue is highly controversial.
“To go with the original launch date was completely inappropriate and tone-deaf.”
On Friday, Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, met with Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo to support the victims and relief efforts.

“For the past few days, there has been a wildfire. Southern California It affects tens of thousands from all walks of life – in neighborhoods and affected families, homes, schools, medical care centers and more. A state of emergency has been declared,” the couple wrote on their website on Thursday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have listed organizations on their site that are actively helping victims of the wildfires, including the Animal Welfare Foundation, which houses and cares for displaced animals; Compton Cowboys and Airbnb and 211LA, which is providing emergency transportation for horses, have joined forces to provide free temporary housing for displaced people and others.
