Maha Kumbh 2025: Harry Potter seen in Prayagraj! Netizens asked ‘Yeh Daniel Radcliffe to Nahi Hai Nahi Hai?’

Foreign tourists from all over the world have arrived at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. A video of a Harry Potter lookalike has gone viral on social media.

In this unedited video, a man in jeans and a puffer jacket is seen enjoying prasad from a useless plate. Needless to say, the video shows Daniel Radcliffe taking part in the religious ceremony.

“Ye Daniel Radcliffe to Nahi Hai Nahi Hai?” asked one user. “Mujhe q lg rha h ye Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter,” said another user.

“Harry Potter likes Prasad,” said a third user. “Bhai Harry Potter jaisa dikh raha hai (sic),” commented a fourth user.

“This is the beauty of Sanatan Dharma,” commented one user.

“He looks like a Harry Potter actor,” another user commented. “Harry Potter at the Kumbh Mela,” said another user. “Harry Potter jhadu se ud kr agya,” joked yet another user.

Harry Potter is a fictional character brought to life by British author JK Rowling in a series of books adapted into a popular film franchise. In the films, the role was essayed by British actor Daniel Radcliffe.

From January 11-20, about 8.79 crore pilgrims took the holy dip in the Sangam. The Maha Kumbh Mela officially started on January 13 on Paush Purnima Bath but devotees started coming from January 11 itself.

Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 It ends on February 26. Maha Kumbh is special because it marks the completion of 12 Kumbh Mela cycles and occurs once in 144 years, the previous such event being held in 1881.

More than 45 million people are expected to attend the mega event. Officials have set up a 4,000-hectare temporary city to accommodate travelers. The temporary city has 1.5 lakh tents, improved sanitation facilities and improved transportation facilities.
