The House Oversight Committee was embroiled in controversy Tuesday, after Rep. Nancy Massey, R-C., argued against Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas.

“Somebody’s campaign coffers are struggling right now. So she’s going to keep people feeling threatened and kidding, listening, trans, trans, trans,” Cricket said.

Mace exploded in anger.

“I’m not a kid! Don’t call me a kid! I’m not a kid. Don’t even get me started,” Massey interrupted Crockett. “I’m a grown woman. I’m 47 years old. I’ve broken more glass ceilings than ever… You don’t do that. I’m not a kid… If you want to take it out, we can do it. That.”

“I am not a child. And if I wanted a physical fight, you would know it. This was not,” she wrote. “I’m not offended by someone who wants to take away women’s rights while teaching about civil rights. I’m not offended by someone who thinks the fear of rape is “imaginary”. This is not political, it’s personal.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Massey tried to elaborate on her comments.

“There was a lot of speculation about my intentions during the heated discussion earlier today on women’s rights,” she said in a statement. “Let me be clear. I wanted to get the conversation off the floor and have a constructive conversation, not a fight. At no point was it intended to hurt anyone. I was assaulted by a pro tr*ns man. A few weeks ago and I’m still in physical therapy for my injuries. I was today. I’m not humiliated. , I’m not condescending—especially as a rape survivor, I always stand up for women and I push leftist extremism that seeks to suppress our voices and take away our rights.

Cricket also took to X to discuss the exchange, writing in part: “Today, I introduced an amendment to restore the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Oversight. My fellow Republican on this matter. Bless her heart to fight me.

Crockett’s office also fired back at Massey, saying it was clear that Massey was threatening Crockett with physical violence.

Crockett’s office said in a statement to Fox News Digital: “It was clear that Representative Massey was threatening physical violence against Congresswoman Crockett.” Congresswoman Crockett ignores her obvious and desperate pleas – if Rep. Massey wants to collect money from the fund. If a black woman is eligible, she can try someone else’s back.”

On the same day as the brouhaha between Massey and cricket, the House passed a bill that would bar transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports at federally funded schools.

Two House Democrats voted with Republicans to pass the Women’s and Women’s Sports Protection Act. Reps. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, and Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, were the lone Democrats in favor of the bill passing 218 to 206.
