While addressing firefighters in California, former Vice President Kamala Harris sparked some ridicule online after she made a “word salad” statement about the nature of “community.”

After her term as vice president ended Monday, Harris visited the Los Angeles Fire Department in Altadena and spoke to the media.

“As I said to these brave and extraordinary firefighters, you know that times of crisis really bring out the heroes in our midst,” she said. “We went and visited the World Central Kitchen. I mean, the volunteers there, some of them who lost their homes, are there doing the job of taking care of the absolute strangers, the neighbor who sees that stranger face to face.”

He continued, “These are people who understand the strength and value of community, where everyone is united as a community with a common purpose and identity.”

During her tenure as vice president, Harris was often mocked for her repetitive statements or “word salad,” such as, “I grew up understanding that the children of the community are the children of the community.” “Community banks are in the community,” she said in a similar statement at another event.

Her critics across the board social media. They are quick to tease her again about the latest world salad.

“A community is a community. It’s about people. Please write it,” author Rob Jenkins quipped.

“Kamala is reminding us why America is unemployed,” former US Senate candidate and conservative commentator Paul A. Cipula tweeted.

“She may be leaving DC, but remember: somewhere in the world, someone is being served Kamala’s ‘deep thoughts’ word salad,” said radio host Jay Weber.

Wall Street Journal film critic Kyle Smith wrote, “An unemployed man has thoughts on a case 3,000 miles away.”
