However, the 33-year-old’s decision to quit red-ball cricket came after the NOC policy of the ECB. Vince warned that many players would leave the English domestic circuit and choose to play league cricket overseas as a result of the ECB’s decision.

“When they first mentioned it, a WhatsApp group of players was created and there was a lot of discussion,” his first impression was that he was going to drive people away from red-ball cricket.
