Jake Paul, Zuckerberg and Musk: Who’s at Trump’s Inauguration?
Along with the former presidents, family members and US officials you’d expect to see at Donald Trump’s inauguration, there were also plenty of familiar faces for less traditional reasons.
We’ve seen OpenAI CEO Sam Altman talk to influential brothers Logan and Jake Paul, and controversial Irish mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor to British politician Nigel Farage.
Tech billionaires such as Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, media mogul Rupert Murdoch and FIFA president Gianni Infantino will also be on stage.
As the day progresses, we continue to see popular and unusual names among the crowd.
Tech billionaires
Trump’s close and controversial friendship with his ex-husband Elon Musk is well known, but Musk isn’t the only tech leader at Monday’s inauguration.
Mark Zuckerberg announced earlier this month that Meta would remove moderators from its platform and “dramatically reduce the amount of censorship” on its platforms.
Influencers
Another tech billionaire in the audience was OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posing for a group selfie with boxer and influencer Jake Paul and Paul’s brother, wrestler and influencer Logan.

McGregor appeared at a Trump rally on Sunday night with Nigel Farage, head of the Reform UK political party.
Media names
Rupert Murdoch, chairman of News Corp., which owns Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, the Sun and the Times, is engaged to his fifth wife, Elena Zhukova.
Mr Murdoch, 93, married a retired Russian biologist last year in a ceremony at his California vineyard.
Politicians and former presidents
As usual, a host of former US presidents attend presidential inaugurations.
In the year Michelle Obama, who attended Trump’s first inauguration in 2017, was not at Monday’s event with her husband, Barack, but much was made of the media.
Along with Obama, there are former presidents including Bill Clinton and George W. Bush who were in office before Trump’s final term.
Another familiar face is former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
