Suresh Raina’s bold claim on India-Pakistan clash and Virat Kohli
Asked to predict the outcome of the India-Pakistan match, Raina diplomatically said that both teams have an equal chance of winning. Raina Kohli’s confidence in his ability to deliver in high-pressure games reflects the star batsman’s impressive record against Pakistan at ICC events, where his tenacity and strength have often tipped the balance in India.
“I think India and Pakistan will have a fifty percent chance. Virat Kohli will win India and his performance will be fantastic.” Raina said.
Who will have the edge in bowling? Raina shares his view.
Raina highlighted the strength of Pakistan’s bowling unit, admitting that it is superior to India’s current position. He said Pakistan’s familiarity with the conditions in Dubai, having played extensively in the UAE, would give the Men in Green a slight advantage due to restrictions at home.
“Pakistan have a better bowling attack. Although both teams have left-arm spinners, Pakistan will enjoy home advantage as they play in Dubai. The former Indian cricketer said.
Raina also emphasized the crucial role of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma in this match. He believed that Rohit’s experience and tactical prowess will be crucial to defeat Pakistan, especially in Dubai where India have lost in the past, such as in the 2021 T20 World Cup against Pakistan.
“Pakistan played a lot of cricket in Dubai, where we lost the World Cup match. But this will be different because Rohit Sharma knows how crucial these matches against Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand are.” Raina finished her speech.
