Border czar Tom Homan has warned that daily immigration numbers could rise in the coming weeks as President Trump’s administration begins to expand the crackdown.

Homan made the comments during an appearance on ABC News’ “This Week” with host Martha Raddatz on Sunday. Border officials say the administration is currently only targeting illegal aliens who engage in violence, but that will soon change.

“The numbers are steadily increasing and you see the number of incarcerations nationwide,” Homan said. “Right now, it’s focused on public safety concerns, national security concerns. That’s a small population. So we’re going to make that a priority. That’s President Trump’s promise. But when that vacancy opens up, there will be more arrests. Nationwide.” level”

“When you talk about the loophole, the estimates of the people who have been convicted or imprisoned in the past are anywhere from 700,000 to over a million. So after you do this, you’re going to go after everyone who is illegal?” Raddatz asked.

“If you’re in the country illegally, you’re on the table because you know, you know, it’s a violation of the laws of this country. Title Eight, United States Code 1325 is a crime,” Homan replied.

“Therefore, if you are in the country illegally, you are in trouble. That is why I hope that those in the country illegally who have not been ordered to resign by a federal judge will be released,” he added.

In the statement, Homan warned sanctuary cities across the United States that their policies do not prevent displacement and instead put communities, federal agents and illegal aliens at risk.

A policy of not turning over illegal aliens to federal authorities is defined as the sanctuary cities’ policy of detention. The aliens usually return to the community.

Homan urged officials in sanctuary cities to help with the effort on “Fox & Friends” last week. “Work with us, because you’ve forced us into society.”

He continued: “Here’s what happens, we find the bad guy, but when we find him, it will be with others, others who may not be criminal priorities. But guess what? If they’re in the United States, they’re going to be arrested illegally.”

“I want to save lives. A secure border saves lives,” Homan said. “When President Trump locks that border, there will be fewer women and children trafficked in this country, fewer aliens dying on that journey. Under President Biden, we had record deaths crossing that border (and a) 600 percent increase in sex trafficking.”

Fox News confirmed Sunday that Tom Holman, along with Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, will be in Chicago to monitor and support the immigration process here in the city.
