“He’ll Get Her”: Honey promises Teofimo a show after Ramirez and Garcia.
Devin Haney told Teofimo Lopez on X today, “You’ll get it.” Once he won a rematch against Jose Ramirez in Times Square, Manhattan, New York in May and a rematch against Ryan Garcia in October.
Hani started off by asking why he didn’t take the fight with Subriel Mathias, but he didn’t do well. When asked why he didn’t face the powerful former IBF 140-lb champion Subriel (21-2, 21 KOs), who is no match for anyone in the division, he called Theo a “TeHOE.” He will be a nightmare for Hani.
Theophimus gives these reasons for not fighting Matthias:
- Top level wanted the fight on the west coast. Theo wanted in New York City.
- He put the fight on PPV
- Offered $2.8 million: Teofimo replied that he was the ultimate “ultimate star”. Keyshawn Davis mentions that Top Rank interns, like their students, are trying to turn him into a star.
If Hani can beat Ramirez and Garcia in the next two fights, a fight against Teofimo will be huge if not hit this year. Lopez hasn’t said who he plans to fight next, but if he faces Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis, he could lose badly.
He had major problems just trying to beat the 140 pound fighters. He has been fortunate in his fights with Sandor Martin and Jamain Ortiz. Many people thought that Teofimo Lopez and the two would fight.
For Hani, it’s better to focus on what’s in front of him now: Ramirez, the former WBC and WBO 140-lb champion. This guy could beat Devin and ruin his rematch with Garcia in October.
Ramirez: End of the line?
That fight is going to happen anyway, as Turki wants to do it against al-Sheikh Riyad. But if Hani loses to Ramirez, he’ll need more interest from the game. Now, Haney is predicting that he will go 0-2 in his 2025 fights and have his career forgotten.
Devin can still keep pinning if he meets promoter Eddie Hearn, who will put him on a Joshua-style four-fight rebuild. Refresh it to account details.. Let’s be honest: Hani wasn’t that good to begin with, but at 135 he made up for it by melting down to fight less and when he moved up to 140 Regis Prograis, he fought the right guy at first.
You will get it.. Once I beat Ramirez and Ryan, you will be next.. But you already know that you are chasing.
