Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has picked youngster Tilak Verma to be India’s future captain in the T20I format. Hogg was impressed with Tilak’s intelligence and felt that he could lead India in the future.
Hogg praised young opener Abhishek Sharma for his heroics in the first T20I against England in Kolkata. Abhishek hit a fiery half-century to help India win the match and take a 1-0 lead in the five-match T20I series.

Brad Hogg picks Tilak Varman as India’s future T20I captain
Brad Hogg has revealed on his YouTube channel that he is impressed by Tilak Varma. Hogg feels the youngster has a “good cricket brain” and could be India’s future T20I captain.
“Tilak Varma is my favorite player and I think he will be the future captain of India in this short form of the game. He is very intelligent, has a very good cricketing mind,” Hogg said.
Tilak Varma hit an unbeaten 19 off 16 balls as he batted at No. 4 in his first T20I against England. He hit 3 fours while knocking. Tilak did not Most of the work is done by Abhishek Sharma.
