Haney dropped charges, Garcia accepted VADA.
Devin Haney has reportedly dropped his lawsuit against Ryan Garcia, and Kingery has agreed to use the VADA drug testing agency for the rematch. As a result, the second battle between the two continues. However, it has not been officially announced yet.
The case was dismissed
Reporter Cynthia Conte broke the news, and Haney posted his response, saying Ryan isn’t a “duck” because he agreed with the situation. The two fighters are believed to have met last Saturday against Turki Al-Sheikh to discuss the match.
Conte told Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) that García (24-1, 20 KOs) agreed with VADA as a condition of dropping the charges, which he has now done. No word on when this will happen at catchweight, or where he will fight. Hani said in an interview last Saturday that his next fight will be at 143 or 144.
Honey, 26, and his father, Bill, really want this fight. They will be looking for this game to regain their credibility after knocking out the previously undefeated two-division world champion Ryan on April 20.
Going into the fight, a lot of people thought Ryan was crazy because of his strange behavior. He was ready to be taken Bellvue Mental HospitalAnd he completely deceived everyone with his actions. It was perfect acting by Ryan.
As he entered the ring in the first round, Honey was immediately rocked by a left hook and pounded like a drum. In the last four rounds of the fight, Ryan seemed to purposely let Haney survive so he could continue to rationalize. It was hard to watch.
Last April, he upset Ryan Haney, beating him by a 12-round majority decision at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Haney was hit three times in the fight, once in the 7th, 10th and 11th. The scores were 114-110, 115-109.
Garcia accepts the terms
A very reliable source told me that Devin Haney has officially dropped his charges against Ryan Garcia if he agrees to plead guilty. Garcia agrees to do VADA and the rematch is on! #Box
