DeSantis vows to help Trump administration by looking at Florida’s ‘future way of thinking’
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis doubled down on his past criticism of California, praising the Sunshine State’s “forward-thinking way” on “Hannity” Thursday.
“Seeing what happened in California, the failures that we’re talking about that night have unfortunately exacerbated a very dire situation,” DeSantis said, referring to his 2023 debate with Gavin Newsom. This is the ideology that management continues to follow.

DeSantis told Fox News host Sean Hannity that Americans are going to see a stark contrast between a state like Florida, which takes its responsibility to uphold the law seriously and wants to work constructively with the new administration, and a state like California. Doubles the failure.

DeSantis pledged that the state would “do its duty” to support Trump’s agenda, urging other states to “stand up” to his side.
“We’re going to put resources to bear. There’s going to be a lot of things we can do to really make an impact. And I think you’re going to see some really drastic, positive changes. Very soon,” he said.
“As Republicans, we’ve been talking about illegal immigration at the border for decades. Now is the time to give it up or shut it down. President Trump can’t do it alone. He needs Congress to support it, and he needs the states to step up their efforts.”
