Crawford teases Gervonta: “Afraid” to fight Shakur and Keyshawn
Terence Crawford told Jervonta Davis to “stop being scared” at X and fight Shakur Stevenson and Keyshawn Davis. Those two are Crawford’s best friends, so it makes sense that he would try to embarrass them by fighting Tank Davis.

Tank Davis is talking about Terrence chasing paydays, not greatness against Canelo Alvarez in Saudi Arabia. This is more about Crawford’s retirement money. If he was really into his legacy, he would have proven himself first instead of going to 168 and begging for the fight.
Crawford has been telling fans that the reason he was considering moving up two weight classes to challenge unified middleweight champion Canelo was to be great for “legacy” purposes, but that Davis was only interested in the money.

This is what Crawford has to do to make money because he can’t sell. Crawford’s last fight against Israel Madrimov reportedly brought in between 75,000 and 100,000 buys. Those are scary numbers. Crawford has never been a PPV draw like Tank Davis.
Lightweight contender Keyshawn Davis (12-0, 8 KOs) shares the same trainer as ‘Bud’ Crawford. Both are trained by Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre.
A tank does not fight. boring Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs) because he is not a marketable fighter and will be dead weight for the promotion. Gervonta will bring all the PPV buys, and Shakur will only be there. Shakur is a boring fighter that people don’t want to see.
I wonder why Eddie Hearn signed Shakur and could turn him into a “global star” I still don’t know. This is not happening in America.
Maybe Hearn can make Shakur a star in the UK because their entertainment level seems low. That’s why fighters like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr. are so popular there. They will never be stars in America
