As Americans flock to the nation’s capital for the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has released a special public transit card to commemorate the event.

The “Commemorative Graduation Smart Trip Card” is a reloadable fare that holds up to $300 in city public transportation fares, according to the WMATA website.

The pass card features a photo of Trump on a red background with a large number “47” behind the president-elect.

Metro stations in the DMV area will sell the cards while supplies last.

Locations Ashburn, Forest Glen, Franconia-Springfield, Glenmont, Greenbelt, King St.-Old Town, L’Enfant Plaza, Navy Yard-Ballpark, New Carrollton, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Shady Grove, Stadium – Armory, Union Station, Vienna and Washington Dulles International Airport.

In the year In 2017, WMATA released a generic graduation card with a sleeve featuring Trump’s face.

A WMATA spokesperson told Fox News Digital, “We’ve done a variety of special edition graduation-themed cards since 1993, except for 2021, when graduation was a virtual event due to the pandemic.

Be sure to add fares to get a Trump Transit Card (one-way fares vary from $2.25 to $6.75 depending on distance) or buy a 1-day unlimited pass for $13.50. A $2 SmarTrip fee will also be charged, according to the WMATA website.

Some travelers have already taken souvenir cards and listed the transportation passport to resell.

On eBay, some people listed the card for around $20, but one seller listed a single card with a starting bid of $450, or “best offer.”

“It showcases the president’s accomplishments and contributions to the country, making it a valuable addition to any collection,” the seller wrote in the listing description.

Adding, “The card is perfect for those interested in political memorabilia and historical collections. It’s a tangible reminder of the president’s tenure and impact on the United States.”

Other trump cards have been listed with starting bids of $150 and $300.

Christine Peterson, a travel consultant at Travelmation, told Fox News Digital that visitors can stay at metro stops at destinations outside the district.

“Consider an additional destination near a metro station, as far as Vienna, Virginia,” advises Peterson.

She added: “The trains will run but may change for special events such as graduations, so check the schedule.”
