College football star Ashton Jeanty talks possibility of Deion Sanders coaching Cowboys
College football star Ashton Jeanty could be the first running back taken in the upcoming NFL draft this spring.
Where Jeanty lands will be a big question. Some mock drafts have predicted a run to the Dallas Cowboys, which he said earlier this month while playing high school football in Frisco, Texas, would be a dream come true for him.
The Cowboys were in the spotlight last week after parting ways with Mike McCarthy as head coach, and rumors swirled that Deion Sanders might leave Colorado to take over in Dallas.

Jeanty commented to Fox News Digital about the possibility of playing for Sanders in Dallas.
“I think this is a great opportunity,” Ginty said. “Coach Prime is good about giving guys opportunities and using them the way they can. Like Travis Hunter, he plays both ways. A lot of coaches don’t do that. I think he excels at the position.”
Genty Sanders, who spoke to Fox News Digital on behalf of the partnership with SAXX, also praised him as a “man of faith.”
“Of course, I’m a man of faith. He’s a man of faith. My former head coach is a man of faith. Being a man of faith is a big thing. To have a good relationship, like he has with his guys off the field. You can see it on the field.”

“I would love to play for the Cowboys,” he told the station. “It would be like a dream come true. I used to play at the practice stadium, and all of our home games in high school, even when we came down here for the Frisco Bowl my freshman year, we practiced there again.
“So, I honestly feel like I’m at home. I don’t say too much, but Dallas has always had a good running back, and when they get a good running game, they play better.
If Ginty isn’t selected in the No. 12 rotation, Dallas could be the only team with an early running back in the first round.
Ginty was a Heisman Trophy runner-up in his final season at the collegiate level. He ran for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns for the Broncos.
