CNN data guru shocked by Trump’s approval of eight-year-old change: ‘It’s so twisted’
CNN’s senior news reporter Harry Ent shows how President Donald Trump made his historic comeback after entering the White House this week.
“The American people like what they see at least eight years ago compared to where Donald Trump started,” Enton told CNN’s Kate Boldun on Friday’s edition of News Central.
Enten shared a Reuters/Ipsos poll It was taken this week to end Trump’s presidency in 2018. In 2017, more Americans approved of it than took office.
Trump began his first term with a net negative approval rating of -3 points, Enton said, but Trump now stands at a +6 net approval rating, up nine points from January 2017.

“This is a very different Donald Trump. He’s running a very different administration in the way he’s attacking things, and the American people are more aligned with him than they were at any point in his entire first term,” he said.
“I have never met another president whose net approval rating was higher in the first month of his second term than he was in his entire first term,” he said.
“(T)rump’s made history as the first president to be more popular at any point early in his second term,” the reporter posted on X.
