Camara, a seasoned professional, cautioned DuBois. “She’s looking at me. She’s looking at me,” the Canadian said. Sky Sports. “Actually, I have more experience in the profession and I feel that I am more mature. She is immature. She does not see the task in front of her. She does not see properly.
“It’s a big mistake, you’re going to see her.”
She’s confident she can turn Dubois around when the Canadian fights. “I believe in myself. I’ve done the work. I’ve had a good but difficult job. I’ve taken many challenges and I feel I have what it takes to beat Caroline,” Kamara said.
“She’s a great fighter. I have a lot of respect for her, but she’s not superhuman. She’s a hitter and I believe I can do that.
“I believe that it is necessary to make adjustments in the war and to avoid frustration.
“I believe in my abilities, I believe in my abilities, I feel strong, I believe in myself.”
Kamara’s record is marked by four losses, but she has notable wins, including a win over former world champion Hyun Mi Choi in Korea last year.
Dubois, however, denied this.
“It’s okay. I’ve never rated Choi. I feel like most people know what Choi is, she’s very inactive. She hasn’t fought in about a year. She’s been chasing other things and her mind has been all over the place,” said the Brit.
“Jessica got the chance to do that. I’m sure Choi underestimated Jessica.”
“For me, it doesn’t mean anything, because in my opinion it was to stop Choi.
“All I know is – I’m going to give it everything I’ve got and we’ll see. I know I’m going to win this fight. It’s just how I’m going to do it.”
‘That shows I’m serious.’
He will inaugurate the live broadcast which starts at 7:30 PM. Sky Sports main event And Sky Sports +Sam will be Hickey.
Hickey, a star amateur boxer from Scotland, is entering only his second professional bout.
But it is already taking on a formidable opponent. Hickey boxes Lewis Howells. The Welsh international himself has only lost once as an amateur as a professional but that came against a good fighter who is undefeated in Kieran Jones.
Hickey is accepting the challenge. “He’s really sad for the sport, isn’t he? Of course not many boxers are doing that in their second fight,” said the middleweight. Sky Sports.
“Obviously I come from a good pedigree in the amateur but it just shows what I’m about. I’m looking to fight the guys who are coming to win and I think that plays into my hands.
“The guy is level enough, but if he’s coming to win, he’s going to lead the shot rather than the guy on the bike.”
Hickey was an outstanding GB boxer who won a bronze medal at the European Championships and gold at the Commonwealth Games. The weight class’ withdrawal from the Olympic Games has denied Hickey a place at Paris 2024.
The Scot plans to beat Howells and pursue further opportunities as a professional.
“Every fighter is dangerous,” Hickey said. “So I don’t want to be distracted. I’m here. It’s a business, I have to perform well and make people talk about me.
“Where I want to be in boxing – I have to beat guys like that. It’s good to test myself against someone like that early in my career.”
“There will be a lot of people watching, hopefully a lot of Scots. I’m looking forward to it.”
