Jessica Kamara went nose-to-nose with Caroline Dubois after weigh-in for the WBC Lightweight World Title fight.

The Canadian challenger bore her forward as DuBois punched the camera before grabbing her back and yelling, “Don’t disrespect me!” After the two have been separated.

Dubois will make her first defense of the WBC championship on Saturday. Sky Sports.

The champion warned: “This is not the end for me, this is just the beginning.

“Now she’s a pebble in my shoe and I have to get her out of the way.”

But Kamara replied: “You will do nothing (anything).

“I have what it takes to do and that’s what I’m going to do.

She added, “She believes in herself. I believe in myself.” “I felt a little disrespected today so I showed her what’s up.”

Dubois took everything as a sign of weakness. “To be honest, I see fear. I see a lot of fear, I see a lot of nerves,” she said later.

Both fighters made weight for their world championship bout at Sheffield’s Cannon Medical Arena with Kamara 9st 8lbs and Dubois 9st 8lbs 5oz. The fight, with a brutal edge, is on.

Caroline Dubois talks about ‘pushing the boundaries’ ahead of her WBC lightweight title defense against Jessica Camara in Sheffield.

Callum Simpson and Steed Woodall weighed in just right for the British and Commonwealth super-middleweight title bouts, the former 11st 13lbs and the latter 12st 12st.

“I’m ready for a 15 round fight if needed,” Woodall warned the champion. “I’m in great shape, ready to go.

“Records are for DJs, they mean nothing to me,” he continued. “The main thing is me and Callum in the ring.”

In his hometown of Barnsley, Simpson fans made themselves heard on the scales at Cutlers Hall.

“It’s not just my journey, it’s our journey. They’ve supported me from day one,” Simpson gushed. “The dream came true.

“To be the best I can be, to be a challenger, a champion, my mindset is always the same no matter what,” he continued.

“I believe the best Callum Simpson will beat the best Steed Woodall.

“I’ve worked really hard to get these[titles]I’ll work really hard to keep them… they stay in Yorkshire.”

Another interesting bout on the bill pits undefeated cruiserweight Scott Forrest against ambitious Londoner Devorne Miller.

Like Miller, after weighing 4lbs in the 14th, Forrest dropped his rival for a high look.

“We’ll see tomorrow,” Miller said afterward, smiling as he predicted his own victory in the standings.

“The cruiserweight class is emerging so there’s a lot to like.”

“He can say what he wants, but don’t blink because he’s getting messed up,” Forrest, who beats on a whimper, maintained the same intensity.
