California restaurant pushes free pizzas ‘non-stop’ to feed wildfire victims, first responders
When disaster strikes, it’s always the unsung heroes who rise from the ashes to help their beloved communities.
Venice Pizza Girl is no different.
Pizza Girl founder Caroline D’Amore said, “We’re serving pizzas not only to first responders, but also to a lot of evacuees. So we’re doing everything we can. As you can see, our store is small but big.” Brandi Campbell of Fox Weather on Thursday.
“My team is amazing and I couldn’t do it without them. So these guys are constantly going. Right now we’re preparing about 200 meals for the firefighters in Topanga.”

The devastating wildfires that swept through Southern California nine days ago, her restaurant said, pushed out at least 1,000 pizzas.

“Honestly, all of our catering operations have been canceled. And obviously, you can see how quiet it is, but we’ll get through this,” D’Amore said.
“And I believe we’re going to rebuild and we’re going to be okay. And I think the most important thing is to just support everybody and do everything we can right now.”
