Biden apologized to the late black activist Marcus Garvey and 4 others
President Biden issued five more pardons on Sunday in his last full day in office, including political activist and black nationalist Marcus Garvey.
“America is a country built on the hope of second chances,” Biden said in a statement. “As president, I have used the amnesty to issue more individual pardons and pardons than any other president in American history. Today, I am using the amnesty to pardon 5 individuals and commute the sentences of 2 individuals. Each of these pardon recipients, who have shown remorse, recovery and redemption, will do much to improve their communities.” They have contributed.

In addition to Garvey, those receiving amnesty include Marcus Mosiah Garvey, Ravidat “Ravi” Ragbir; Don Leonard Scott, Jr. and Kemba Smith Pradia. Garvey was posthumously pardoned.
