Barbara Corcoran Creates GoFundMe for Residents of ‘Lovely’ Pacific Palisades Mobile Home Park

Corcoran Group founder and “Shark Tank” star Barbara Corcoran has set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to help residents of the Pacific Palisades mobile home park, which she calls a “little piece of heaven” affected by the California wildfires.

The “beloved” Tahiti Terrace Mobile Home Park, where she and other homes are owned, was completely destroyed Tuesday as the “devastating Palisades Fire moved quickly through the park,” Corcoran said on social media.

Her fundraiser on the GoFundMe platform had raised $117,364 as of 3 p.m. Eastern Friday, according to the page. It has a goal of $600,000.

“She is absolutely heartbroken by the devastation in Los Angeles,” Corcoran said in a statement to FOX Business on Friday.

“The community of Pacific Palisades and Tahiti Terrace in particular is a little slice of heaven,” she said. They built their lives here for decades and planned their retirement here and lost everything.

Corcoron said she donated $100,000 of her own money to GoFundMe.

Funds raised through her GoFundMe fundraiser will help Tahitian Terrace Mobile Home Park residents with immediate necessities like food, clothing and shelter as they take the first steps to rebuild their lives.

“She is working with the HOA to meet the immediate needs of displaced residents,” Corcoron told FOX Business.

The Palisades Fire, which hit the mobile home park, started Tuesday and by Friday afternoon had burned more than 20,400 acres in the Los Angeles area, CalFire reported. The fire, which is 8% contained, has destroyed more than 5,000 buildings.
