After missing a flight for a road trip, Jimmy Butler has been suspended again by the Heat, the report said.
The Miami Heat’s rollercoaster saga continues with All-Star Jimmy Butler, who has reportedly been suspended two games by ESPN after missing a team flight for the trip.
On Wednesday, they were headed to Milwaukee for a nationally televised game against the Bucks on Thursday, but Butler was not on the flight.
ESPN added that Butler had considered making another trip to Milwaukee, but the heat is expected to keep him out for the rest of the road trip, which includes Saturday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.

This is Butler’s second shutout of the season, adding only to the turmoil highlighted by his request for a trade a few weeks ago.
Butler served a seven-game suspension for “multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team,” though he remains a member of the Heat.
Jimmy Butler plays in Suns-themed sneakers on afternoon after Phoenix acquires trade assets
Butler continued to play, but said after making the trade request over the weekend, “the whole truth will come out.”
“Sooner or later, the truth will come out, but in the meantime, we’re going to continue to let people talk. And if I’m here, I’m going to go out there to play,” Butler told the media after playing for the team. A loss at home to the Denver Nuggets.
Boulter appeared frustrated by reports that his relationship with Miami’s players and front office had been strained.
“I expect people to talk,” Butler said. “Half the reason is because no one knows what I do, so you make things up, which is nice. And honestly, I didn’t pay any attention to it. But I have. People say, ‘Oh, they said that.’ So, I guess I don’t have to polish anything.”
“So more power to you. Keep talking, and we’ll see where we end up.”
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old sparked some social media controversy on Tuesday night by wearing Phoenix Suns-themed sneakers, which many believe were intentionally targeted for commercials.
It came just hours after the Suns acquired three future first-round picks from the Utah Jazz in exchange for another first-round pick.
Phoenix could use another star as the Kevin Durant-Devin Booker-led roster is just 21-21 this season.
Heat president Pat Riley said in December, “We’re not trading Jimmy Butler.” However, after a seven game suspension, the team’s position has changed.
