A NYT poll found that most Democrats oppose transgender athletes in women’s sports

As Trump returns to office on Monday, Republicans are pushing a bill in Congress to address the issue.
The Women and Girls in Sports Protection Act passed the House of Representatives on Tuesday and even had the support of two Democrats.
That bill will go to the Republican-controlled Senate, and if it passes there, Trump will sign it into law early in his term.
