A Cathay Pacific flight returned to Boston after smoke was reported in the cockpit: report
A Cathay Pacific flight from Boston was forced to turn around shortly after takeoff due to smoke in the cabin and cockpit.
Footage posted online is said to show smoke filling up from Flight CX811 – an Airbus A350 – after taking off from Hong Kong on Monday morning.
“At first, I thought maybe it was just the difference in altitude,” said passenger Emily Chen. He told WCVB.. “And then I can’t breathe, what’s going on?”
“I said a few prayers, I was like, ‘Dear Lord, let’s all go to the same place,'” she said, describing the incident as “scary.”

The plane finally landed safely in Boston around 3:21 am.
Cathay Pacific did not immediately respond to a request for comment from FOX Business.

The airline told WCVB that “as a precaution, the flight returned to Logan International Airport in accordance with standard operating procedures.”

No one was injured. Engineers are said to be investigating the cause of the smoke.
“The flight (we) started, and I saw a lot of smoke around me,” passenger Hochen Wu told WCVB.
