Israeli settlers burned and destroyed the West Bank Israel and Palestine conflict news
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli settlers set fire to farmland and spray-painted racist slogans in a village near Ramallah, news reports said, amid an escalation of Israeli arson and deadly military incursions in recent days.
The attack came as the head of Israel’s internal security agency, Ronen Barr, urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday to green-light a major military offensive in the occupied territory.
Palestinian news agency Wafa, citing witnesses, reported that settlers attacked a farm on the outskirts of Kirbet Abu Fallah on Friday, burning racist graffiti in Hebrew on a wall.
A picture published online by the Quds News Network shows what is said to have been arson.
Members of the Palestinian Civil Defense Force were deployed to put out the fire. No injuries were reported in the attack on Thursday night.
According to Wafa, Kirbet Abu Fallah, as well as the town of Turmus Aya and the village of Al-Mughayer, northeast of Ramallah, have been repeatedly raided by Israeli settlers and are said to be guarded by Israeli soldiers.
Earlier, Israeli settlers also set fire to a Palestinian-owned car in the village of Wadi Rahal, south of Bethlehem, Al Quds Today reported.
The latest attack by Israeli settlers comes after Palestinian militants shot and killed three Israelis near the illegal settlement of Qadim on Monday.
