Sizzler offers free meals to California fire victims and responders at multiple locations
If you are an evacuee or first responder to one of the Los Angeles wildfires, you are invited to dine at one of four Sizzler locations.
“Please come in for an extra hot meal,” Sizzler posted on Facebook and X Thursday afternoon.
Participating restaurant locations are in Van Nuys, Los Feliz, Palmdale and Culver City.
“Let our cashier know you’re here for fire relief food,” the post ends. “Please stay safe.”
The fury of the California wildfires has forced thousands to flee their homes in Los Angeles County.
Diners choose between a six-ounce steak, six jumbo crispy shrimp, or one of their Malibu chicken dishes. Each comes with a side dish and fountain drink.
The first Sizzler opened in 1958, according to its website. The restaurants are known for their all-you-can-eat salad bars.
“That’s so kind,” one Facebook user wrote in response to Sizzler’s post. “My family is over there. It’s bothering me from Oregon. I grew up there. I’m so sorry.”
“Such kindness and generosity shows humanity from your organization,” wrote another.
Many praised the casual dining restaurant chain and said they would continue to buy the company because of the offering.
One person wrote: “This inspired me to support my local SoCal Sizzler (not around the fire) to support a brand that needs others like this. Thanks Sizzler!”
