‘Water bills reduced by 50%’ Zerodha’s Nitin Kamat endorses waterless urinal brand with no deal on Shark Tank India 3
Nitin Kamaz, founder and CEO of online broking platform Zeroda, recently endorsed Zerodoor, a waterless toilet featured in Shark Tank India season 3 episode.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kamat endorsed the pitch made by company founder Uttam Banerjee. They also said that they have been using the Zerodoor men’s toilet in their office.
“For the last six months or so, we have been using Zerodoor for men’s toilets in our offices. Our water bill has come down by 50% – we didn’t expect it to be this much,” said Kamath.
Kamat further said that his company Rainmatter is supporting the sector. “They like the product because they’re doing everything they can to protect water, which has become a huge concern. We’re supporting it at Rainmatter.”
According to a blog shared by Kamat on Z, Zerodoor is used by more than 700 organizations including Indian Railways, government institutions, some large food and beverage chains, shopping malls, theaters, defense establishments, automotive industries and private corporations.
Founded by Sachin Joshi and Uttam Banerjee, Zerodoor was featured on Shark Tank India Season 3. According to their pitch on the show, the product is a retrofit kit that can be deployed in any commercially available toilet.
The toilet also has a specially designed urinal for women. The founders said that they will try to provide. CPR To the sanitary system, that is, Save, protect and restore with their products and solutions.
According to Kumar, the product was born after the marriage. He came from a small village in Jharkhand that had no washrooms, which prevented his wife from visiting the place.
The founders wanted to invest ₹1 million in a 3 percent stake in their company. Zerodoor did not get any deal on the show because the ‘sharks’ found many problems in the production.
