Secretary of State Marco Rubio has suspended all U.S. foreign aid funded by the State Department and USAID to allow the Trump administration to review if the money puts “America First.”

On Sunday, the US State Department released a statement on the fall following President Donald Trump’s order to reassess and restructure US foreign aid.

The statement read: “Under President Trump’s executive order to reassess and restructure US foreign aid, Secretary (Marco) Rubio has suspended all US foreign aid funded by the State Department and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). . “The America First Agenda is launching a review of all foreign aid programs to ensure they are efficient and consistent with US foreign policy. President Trump has made it clear that the United States will no longer blindly give money to the American people.”

The statement went on to say that it is a moral duty to review and adjust foreign aid on behalf of taxpayers, and that Rubio is proud to protect American investment through deliberate and judicial review of how the money is used to help foreign countries. Overseas
