US President Donald Trump on Thursday withdrew Saudi Arabia’s pledge to invest $600 billion in the United States over the next four years, suggesting the number should be higher.

“Also, it was reported in the papers today that Saudi Arabia will invest at least $600 billion in the United States,” Trump told an audience in Davos via video call, referring to major announcements of foreign companies entering the country.

But I ask the wonderful man, the Crown Prince, to cover 1 trillion. I think they will do that because we are very good to them,” he said, referring to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
