Former Obama aide David Axelrod argued on Tuesday that former President Biden should be “retired” and face accountability for issuing early pardons to his family members.

“That was shocking. 10 minutes before the graduation, he announced to his family members that he was sorry. I mean, man up! You know what I mean? Man up, and if you want to do it, do it, but don’t.” Do it verbally and what they did was give Trump a J6 story for him because he beat the story, and you heard it last night.” Axelrod said during the podcast that he was “on a beat hack.” Reported by Mediaite.

Minutes before President Trump was sworn in, the Biden White House announced that the outgoing president would pardon several members of his family in advance.

Axelrod added, “Could you end the presidency any worse than he did? I mean, Trump did.”

Axelrod’s coordinator, Mike Murphy, agreed with Axelrod on the timing and politics, saying it “shows a lack of balls.” However, Murphy said some apologies may be justified, citing Trump’s attacks.

The former Obama adviser agreed, echoing his earlier point.

“Just say the hell with it man and say I’m doing it because this man (Trump) threatened my family, threatened these people who go about their business, I say stand up man!” Added Axelrod.

Biden’s pardon applies to James Biden, Sarah Jones Biden, Valerie Biden Owens, John Owens and Frances Biden, the Biden White House announced Monday. The president argued that his family could be subjected to “politically motivated investigations”.

The pardon came after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer called for an investigation and impeachment of Trump’s Justice Department. James Biden for allegedly making false statements to Congress.

Axelrod said. The way the Biden White House went about it made him seem “particularly sly.”

“It was very troubling to me that they did it the way they did,” Axelrod said.

President Trump responded by saying the move made Biden look guilty.

Now, perhaps every president who leaves office forgives everyone they meet. “I guess I’m conditioned to do that now. I don’t want to do that, no. I think it makes you look very guilty. I think it makes Biden look very bad, very weak and very guilty.”
