Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir, on Wednesday (January 22), brought back the Pushpan celebration after taking a wicket on the cricket field. The left-arm pacer brought the celebration in the match between Desert Vipers and Sharjah Warriors in the ongoing International League T20.

Desert Vipers captain Lockie Ferguson chose to win early as they overcame the loss. He hands over the new ball to Mohammad Amir and kicks the ball into the ground. Not only did he take two wickets in the first game, but he also started the team with a win.

After being hit for four by Johnson Charles in the third ball, the former Pakistan pacer bounced back in style to dismiss the West Indies opener in the very next ball. Charles goes for a big shot and reaches a delivery straight down the field at deep square leg. When he got his height on the shot, he couldn’t get the distance.

Dan Lawrence did nothing wrong with his catch. And as soon as he completed the shoot, Mohammad Aamir brought the famous Pushpa festival inspired by the Allu Arjun-starrer film ‘Pushpa’.

Aamir is not done yet. On the last ball of the same, Avishka dismissed Fernando for a duck to put him in the driver’s seat. Later in the third over, Amir picked up another wicket and celebrated his dismissal again with a pushpa celebration. Rohan dismisses Mustafa on the last ball of the third over for 2 runs.

This is not the first time that Mohammad Amir has celebrated Pushpan by taking a wicket in a match. In the year He did the same when he picked up a wicket for Gloucestershire in a T20 blast against Somerset in 2022.

Desert Vips in the driver’s seat;

Desert Vipers are in complete control of the ongoing game against Sharjah Warriors. After losing two wickets in the first game, Warriors could not recover and continued to lose wickets at regular intervals.

At the time of writing they were rocking at 63/8 on the 14th. Mohammad Amir and Wanindu Hasaranga were the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets each for the Vipers.
