Marcus Stoinis failed to ignite the Melbourne Stars in the playoffs
Melbourne Stars are rocking at 27/3 and skipper Marcus Stoinis is expected to step up and lead his side to victory. However, this was not to be, because the universal could not stay long and, despite the start, was back in the nest.
Stoinis has been batted around for 4 games and looks like he will take the team home when he is ready. He was trying to put the pedal to the quick but was sent back to the nest after an on-field brilliance that sent Sydney Thunderer George Garton packing.
Chris Green bowls a length delivery outside off, Stoinis is pushed back as he tries to play the pull shot. The ball bounced off his fingertip before it stuck in the infield and came down to mid-wicket, and the ball looked like it was going to land safely.
But George Garton, who was sitting there, leapt forward and picked him up as he did. Melbourne Stars captain Marcus Stoinis tossed the ball in the air as he returned to the tent after taking the long walk.
