Ben & Jerry’s Co-Founder Elon Musk Launches Race to Support Government Efficiency: ‘DOGE vs Blob’

Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen behind Elon Musk and the Government Efficiency Initiative (DOGE) launched a new meme contest Monday.

On the day of President Donald Trump’s inauguration and DOGE’s founding, Cohen announced on X that he would launch a “DOGE vs. Blob” website to support the department.

“Pentagon bureaucrats burn $2 million in taxpayer money every minute. In honor of @DOGE, I’m starting a meme contest called @dogevsblob highlighting the biggest spender + waste of government money. We’re giving away 1,000 @dogecoin a day. If anyone can cut the Pentagon budget, @elonmusk can support him. ,” Cohen wrote.

Cohen told his followers that they could log in up to nine times a day for free for the next 100 days by linking to the website. He wrote that he would choose the two best memories for a grand prize of 10,000 doge coins each.

“In the end, money won,” Cohen said in 2023, “and today, not only are they giving weapons to all the new NATO countries, they are giving weapons to Ukraine.”
