Auburn’s Bruce Pearl Blames Hamas Terrorists After 3 Israeli Hostages Freed
Auburn Tigers men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl sent a strong message on social media Sunday in a video that appears to show Hamas terrorists handing over three Israeli hostages to the Red Cross.
The video shows the hostages moving from one vehicle to another among several Hamas militants holding guns and chanting “Allah Akbar”. The gunmen then stopped at the vehicle.

Pearl doesn’t look pleased.
“This is what giving autonomy to the Palestinians looks like. Do they seem to want peace?” He He wrote on X. “They made war, they killed, they dared, they dug tunnels and hid under their people, they launched rockets from living rooms, then they shouted genocide. Release the prisoners now, then live in peace or leave the city.”
Pearl is not shying away from her support for Israel. He is one of the most outspoken sportsmen on the subject.
Israel’s cabinet on Saturday morning approved a cease-fire in Gaza that includes the release of dozens of hostages and an end to the war with Hamas, which began on October 7, 2023, after the terrorist group’s attack on the Jewish state.

The deal allows for the release of 33 hostages over the next six weeks, adding to the hundreds of Palestinians held by Israel. The rest of the hostages are to be released in the second phase of the first round of negotiations.
Hamas agreed to release three female hostages on the first day of the deal, four on the seventh day and the remaining 26 over the next five weeks.
Hamas has announced that it will not release the remaining hostages unless a permanent cease-fire agreement is reached and Israel withdraws completely.

The 15-month Gaza war began when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, killing nearly 1,200 people and taking nearly 250 hostages, prompting a military response from the Israeli military. About 100 hostages are still being held in Gaza.
