Taiwan shares higher in recent trade; Taiwan added 0.53% on Investing.com.
Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in and sectors led shares higher.
At the end of Taiwan, it was up 0.53 percent.
The best performers of the session were Champion Microelectronics Corporation (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 5.00 points to end at 55.00. Meanwhile, New Asia Construction & Development Corporation ( TW: ) added 9.91% or 1.60 points to end at 17.75 and Chateau International Development Co Ltd (TW: ) was up 9.89% or 3.05 points to 33.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Taiwan Taffeta Fabric Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 7.67% or 1.25 points to trade at 15.05. Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd (TW: ) declined 6.89% or 17.50 points to end at 236.50 and Chung Fu Tex-International Corp (TW:) declined 5.56% or 2.00 points to 34.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on Taiwan’s stock market at 0-for-0.
Shares in New Asia Construction and Development Corporation ( TW: ) have hit an all-time high. It rose from 9.91% or from 1.60 to 17.75.
Crude oil for March delivery fell 0.08%, or 0.06%, to $77.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, March Brent crude fell 0.22%, or 0.18, to hit $80.61 a barrel, while February gold futures fell 0.02%, or 0.46, to trade at 2,749.16 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD fell 0.44% to 32.78, while TWD/CNY was unchanged from 0.27% to 0.22.
US dollar index futures were down 0.21% at 108.97.
